This is the long anticipated release of Rockness Monsta's memorial tribute to Sean Price, named "Da Streets Want Blood".
Following the shocking and untimely death of one of Heltah Skeltah's own dynamic duo, Sean Price AKA Ruck, Rock went into hibernation. To emotionally deal with the death of not only a rap partner and motivator, but a friend and brother, right hand man. When Rock emerged, he came back to give the people what they really want to hear...the raw, real emotion of hip hop.
"Da Streets Want Blood" will bring you along on a roller coaster of emotions that have been felt by the hip hop community worldwide, fans, friends, and loved ones after Sean P.'s passing. You can feel the flood of neighborhood memories from the Brownsville's area of Brooklyn, the camaraderie of friends, then the raw anger, shock, and loss felt by Rockness.
This song has the quality, veracity, and energy that fans have come to love about the Rockness Monsta's style. Everything is Monsta! Including this song.
Rockness thanks every single person that was directly or indirectly involved with this project. It wasn't just a project of hip hop or music, but a real passion project to assist all of us in dealing with this incredible loss. It was for the admiration of the craft to express emotion and that #SeanLivesOn through all of us.
